Our team returned from Boca de Soloy, Panama
with stories to tell of the journey.
Our Life Assembly Missionaries (Jason Payne, Royce Gray, Weston Gray, John Driver, Ryan Savage, Justin Henry, Michael Griffin, Dennis Merrill, Dan Bobbitt, Dave Meier, Craig Sanford, Andrew Wharton, Steve Warner, Jonnie Wethington, Jonathan Burch, Jason Henry, Ron Harrison, Randy Harrison, Mike Harrison, David Wharton) Have landed safely in Soloy Panama. they will begin construction on two new school rooms, a parsonage, and school teacher living quarters located on the church property there. This facility will be operated by Latin American Child Care providing Godly education in a remote area of western Panama. Please keep them in your prayers.
Sunday January 14th 2007
After a long 6 hour trek up into the mountains our crew has reached their destination. They have been fighting 40 mph winds as they set up camp, and will begin construction Monday morning.
Monday January 15th 2007
Our team is still fighting the heavy winds but have managed to construct two public restroom facilities, and they have dug the footer trenches for the foundations of the church and are now constructing the trusses for the roof.
Thursday January 18th 2007
Our team has finished their labors in Soloy and are in route to Panama City.
The trek will take them about 9 hours. They will spend tomorrow in Panama City and will fly home Saturday Evening.
